St. Antony’s Matric School was established in the Year 1980 in Pavithram by the CTC Sisters. The School Opened its doors to the Children of the region with a Strength of only 63 Students from Kinder Garden to 5th grade with the Motto “Arise and Shine “. Rev. Sr. Nichola Antony was appointed as the first Principal of the School.

In the beginning the school was functioning in the ground floor of the Hostel. And later a Separate wing was Constructed for English Medium in the Tamil Medium School Campus but during the Government Visit officials instructed both Schools Should Not Function in the same Campus. So, the Provincial Superior Planned to build a new Building for English Medium. But the School was Functioning in the Tamil Medium School Campus till 2012.In 2013 Shifted to the new building with adequate infrastructure facilities. The School was upgraded to a High School Status as early as in 1985.

The Classes from 6th to 8th were stared in 2011, Thanks to the initiative of Rev. Sr. Syria Pushpam. From the very beginning, the School Offered Opportunities to the children to learn in an English Medium Environment and thus attracted Students from near and far to get admitted in the Matric School. Due to the quality of Education Provided by the CTC sisters, the School earned name and Popularity. Year after year, the Principals found it difficult to say ‘No’ to Parents and Children Who waited in long queue to get Admission in English Medium School.
